Only at Wrigley Field. During Monday night's game between the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies, a goose casually wandered into shallow left field and just... stayed there.

Right in the middle of the action.
The bird parked itself between Trea Turner and Alec Bohm, with Brandon Marsh nearby in left. No panic, no delay. The game kept going like this was totally normal.
Then came the moment.
Michael Busch sent a liner into left field that landed just behind the goose. Marsh scooped it up without issue, but that was enough for the unexpected guest to finally take the hint.

Cue the laughs from the broadcast booth, with Cubs commentator Jim Deshaies joking, "The goose had him played right."
And just like that, it was gone.
If it all feels familiar, that's because Wrigley has seen this before. A goose showed up around the ballpark last year, even nesting near the scoreboard in center field.
Different goose? Same goose? Hard to say.
Either way, for a few minutes, the biggest presence on the field wasn't a player. It was a bird that picked the perfect spot to watch the game.
