When Andrew Fox planned to propose to his girlfriend at a Yankees game Tuesday, it was supposed to be one of the happiest moments of their lives. Only it turned into one of the worst when he lost the engagement ring right before the big moment.
With cameras zooming in on the couple, Fox was preparing to pop the question to girlfriend Heather Terwilliger when he apparently got nervous and flubbed the whole thing by letting the ring fall out of the box.
"I got on my knee, pulled the ring out of my pocket, opened the box and the ring just instantly fell to the ground," Fox told MLB.com. "It bounced once and I didn't know where it went."

Fox lucked out when everyone around them began looking for the ring. The whole thing was broadcast on national television, and witnessed by the 35,000 plus in attendance at Yankee Stadium who wawtched on the JumboTron. The story ended well for both the couple and the Yanks, though. Fox found his ring, and then promptly resumed with the proposal (to which she said yes), and the Yankees beat the Red Sox 6-4.
