The Major League Baseball team announced the news with a press release. According to information provided, Jay-Z will perform one concert on Friday, July 10, 2026. He will then perform an entirely different concert on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The first concert, Jay-Z 30, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rapper's debut album, Reasonable Doubt. The second concert, Jay-Z 25, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. This particular album went platinum three times in the United States, gold in the United Kingdom, and platinum in Canada.

Both of these concerts have sold out already, so Yankee Stadium will host a third. Jay-Z Extra Innings will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Roc Nation did not provide details about this particular concert or set list.

This will not be the first time that Jay-Z has performed at the MLB stadium. He and Alicia Keys performed "Empire State of Mind" prior to Game 2 of the World Series in 2009. He and Eminem then performed a double bill at the stadium on Sept. 13-14, 2010.

Jay-Z's most recent concerts at Yankee Stadium took place on July 19-20, 2013. He and Justin Timberlake headlined a double bill, Legends of the Summer, for music fans. Keys also performed with Jay-Z during these shows.

Yankee Stadium has hosted numerous concerts in the past, which have featured some of the biggest names in entertainment. For example, the Jonas Brothers took over the stadium in 2023 for their "Five Albums, One Night" tour.

Other artists to perform at the MLB stadium include Paul McCartney, Bad Bunny, Madonna, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Garth Brooks, Romeo Santos, Metallica and Roger Waters.

The Metallica concert, in particular, became a dream scenario for old-school metalheads. This "Big 4" lineup featured Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax all performing in the same venue on the same night.
