Chicago Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward is a special talent, and has been since he's entered the majors. His spectacular catch against the San Francisco Giants was just another notch in No. 22's belt.
With a shot to right field, Heyward tracked down the ball, completing laying out for it, but not before crashing into the wall. Heyward held on to the grab, but was seen writhing in pain, holding his right side.
"There's some pain," Heyward said. "Not sharp but a little more than dull. What happened was the lower rib-cage bone and the hip bone hit each other when I was pushed up against the wall."
Heyward's evening was done after that, but helped solidify a dominating 8-1 win over the Giants.
