The closer, who has appealed the suspension and fine, will miss one game if he loses his suspension. For now, he will continue playing as the Milwaukee Brewers kick off a three-game series against the Houston Astros.
The incident occurred during Tuesday night's 6-0 win over the Cardinals. Uribe threw a strikeout that ended an inning. He pounded his chest and pointed to the sky in celebration before turning to the Cardinals dugout and doing a "triple chop." This involved him motioning his arms down toward his groin multiple times.

"It's just unacceptable. I don't know what got over him," Brewers manager Pat Murphy said. "I mean, he's been an emotional guy, but that kind of thing, that's just not how we do things, and I was embarrassed by it.
"Why are we doing it in a 6-0 game? What are we doing there? There must be something deeper that I don't know about. I love the kid. Believe me, I love the kid. There's so much good in this kid. He's been so great for us in so many ways. But that's unacceptable."
Uribe later met with reporters to discuss the incident through his translator. He apologized to his team, the executives, and his teammates. He did not apologize to the Cardinals.
Uribe also said that he saw Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol making signs in the dugout indicating that he was going "to be hitting guys" during the series opener on Monday.
"First and foremost, everyone here knows me and knows who I am, and knows I have a bit of a history of being emotional out there," Uribe said on Tuesday night, per the team website.
"I owe an apology to the Brewers, I owe an apology to my teammates, to my manager, all the bosses of the team. I understand that's unacceptable to go out there and react in a way like that."
