The San Diego Padres have found some late-game magic playing at Petco Park recently. To point out, they have now hit a walk-off home run in three straight games, while playing as the home team, which is an MLB record.
It all started on June 11, when the Padres defeated the Oakland A's 4-3, thanks to a walk-off home run by Kyle Higashioka. Then in the following game on June 12, Jackson Merrill homered in the bottom of the ninth to secure a 5-4 victory for the Padres.

Fast forward to the team's next home game, Thursday night, June 20, the Padres were tied 6-6 with the Milwaukee Brewers; in the bottom of the ninth with two outs, Jake Cronenworth hit a game-winning homer, and the Padres won 7-6.

"It's pretty awesome. The best part is coming home and everybody's there," Cronenworth said. "Your teammates are waiting for you and celebrating you. It's a team effort and awesome win tonight."
In view of the three straight walk-offs at home, Cronenworth credited it to the team never giving up, "is the identity and resiliency we show... It's just who we are. Three walk-offs in a row are pretty awesome."
The Padres are now 39-40, moving up to second place in the NL West division, nine games back behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Padres will look to keep the streak going, as they will face off with the Brewers (44-31) Friday night (June 21) at 9:40 pm ET.
