Phillies centerfielder Pedro Florimon was carted off the field after suffering a lower leg injury during Saturday's game agains the Miami Marlins.
While attempting to beat the opposing shortstop's throw to first, Florimon lunged toward the base and bent his right ankle awkwardly over the bag.

The game was delayed for about 15 minutes as Florimon was assisted off the field. Hyun Soo Kim replaced him as a pinch runner and Nick Williams took over for Kim — who was moved to right field — at centerfield.
Florimon was hitting a .348 average with an .866 OPS in 15 games for the Phillies prior to his injury. The 30-year-old outfielder signed a minor league contract with the franchise last December and was called up last month.
"His versatility, his experience, he's played in the big leagues before," Mackanin said when asked what he liked about Florimon, per CSN Philly. "He's a professional player.
"I like him as a centerfielder. I like him at shortstop. He's a good defensive player. He's very athletic. He's sure-handed. He has good instincts. He's a switch-hitter with occasional pop. ... He'd be a good guy to keep around."
Philadelphia hasn't released an update on Florimon's injury as of yet. Odubel Herrera, who was previously starting at centerfield prior to his own injury on Aug. 14, is expected to return soon. Herrera went 2 for 2 during a minor league rehab assignment on Thursday.
