Texas Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis could have been in a world of trouble had he not reacted faster to a line drive aimed at his face.
The 101-mph ball struck Lewis near the top of his head, as he turned away in the nick of time. All he could do was look up and watch the rest of the play unfold as second baseman Rougned Odor came away with the pop-up for the out.
"I felt it a little bit," Lewis said, according to MLB.com. "Your eyes kind of shake a little bit and then I came right to. I turned and saw the ball in the air and I was worried about the out, yelling at Rougie to get the out."
Lewis remarkably walked away unfazed by the errant ball.
