Ryan Howard is really pissed at a spineless fan who should be banned from the stadium for life

Word to the wise: don't throw stuff at Ryan Howard.

There's always that one fan that ruins it for the rest us. This one fan in particular better be grateful that Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard didn't get a chance to ruin him.

Howard, who's been in quite the slump this season —- he has an atrocious .151/.211/.336 slash line —- had some choice words for the fan who threw a beer bottle at him during Saturday's 6-3 to Milwaukee.

"I've done too much in this town to have that kind of stuff," he said according to Phillies .com. "If you want to yell out, `You suck,' that's whatever. But when you start throwing stuff, that's when stuff gets personal."

The bottle in question landed near Howard's feet as he walked to the dugout after a groundout to the pitcher.

No one has produced a video of the incident, but one fan at the game claims to have witnessed the incident and identified the culprit.

"We have to be held accountable," Howard said. "If someone throws something, we're just supposed to sit there and wear it and get hit. Nah, man, we're human beings first and foremost. People get it twisted. They see the baseball stuff, and they don't see you as a human being. They see you as someone that just plays baseball."

He's right, and kudos for the people trying to identify the person who threw the bottle. At minimum, he should be banned from the stadium for life. Maybe the police get involved.

As fans band together to ID the accused, one thing remains clear: don't throw things at Ryan Howard.
