The trade deadline is nearing in the world of Major League Baseball, and names are flying around as the rumors swirl. In one such case, New York Mets shortstop Wilmer Flores has been linked to a high-profile trade that would send Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez to the Big Apple in exchange for Flores and young pitcher Zack Wheeler.

On the surface, there is nothing unusual about a pseudo-contender attempting to add an impact bat like Gomez. However, the trade talks were heating up during a game that featured the Mets, and Flores apparently caught wind that he was headed to Wisconsin.

The saying goes that there simply is "no crying in baseball" (h/t A League of Their Own) but someone forgot to tell Flores. There is no shame in reacting negatively to the news that you must uproot your entire life in search of a different career opportunity, but unfortunately, Wilmer Flores' meltdown was broadcast on television.
Whether he's really been traded is another story.
