The Texas Rangers are taking baseball stadium food to new heights, literally. The team has unveiled the new wearable nacho sombrero.

The MLB team announced the news on April 2 and made it explicitly clear that this is not an April Fool's joke. The Rangers are actually selling this product known as the "9th Inning Rally sombrero."
This piece of headwear has a bucket of nachos as the "crown" of the sombrero. The brim features a large shell completely filled with nacho toppings. This includes lettuce, olives, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, jalapenos, and other food items.

As many fans — and the Rangers — pointed out, this is not technically an original idea. Homer from The Simpsons actually had a nacho hat during an episode. This should not come as a surprise considering that the long-running cartoon has accurately "predicted" the future countless times.
The Rangers unveiled multiple food items on Thursday while preparing to host the Cincinnati Reds at Globe Life Field. The list of items also included some more traditional options, such as a loaded pretzel and the churro helmet sundae.
Other items, however, went in a different direction. This includes a fried hot dog covered in biscuits and gravy, an elote-covered hot dog, and the Texas tamale torte.

The list of food items continued with saucy pork wings, a Texas tenderloin sandwich, nachos with sliced steak, and the "Pig Kahuna" sandwich. This particular sandwich will cater to those baseball fans who love some pineapple on their food.
The Rangers are currently second in the AL West standings after six games. The Arlington-based team has gone 4-2 with their most recent game being a loss to the Orioles on April 1. The only team ahead of the Rangers in the division are the in-state rival Astros, who sit at 5-2.
The team hopes to keep a winning record as the season progresses, which would potentially set up a postseason run. Now, the fans can help with this goal while rocking the "9th Inning Rally sombrero."
