Tim Tebow is rising through the New York Mets organization and his latest promotion moved him from low-A and his time with the Columbia Fireflies to high-A and an assignment with the Port St. Lucie Mets. Since arriving, Tebow has turned some heads with strong play and, on Friday evening, the former Heisman Trophy winner and current ESPN personality made a highlight reel play with his glove in left field.

As you can see above, Tebow made a rather spectacular play to end an inning and save some damage for his pitcher. Later that evening, the play from Tebow made ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 Plays segment and, while that probably would not have happened if not for his level of fame and notoriety, it was certainly a tremendous effort.
The debate rages on as to whether Tim Tebow can actually keep ascending through the Mets system and, frankly, whether he deserves to be able to do so based on his level of play. Still, he is not embarrassing himself in any way on the field and that is very noteworthy considering the amount of time between Tebow's last foray into baseball and when he elected to pursue this professional venture once again.
