Former baseball MVP goes down with an awful looking knee injury

This doesn't look good.

Yet another one of baseball's top stars could be facing time on the shelf with an injury.

On Saturday night, Nationals outfield Bryce Harper went down with what appeared to be a knee injury when attempting to reach first on an infield hit.

Harper appeared to tweak his knee when landing on the bag, and he was forced to leave the field with the help of the training staff.

Harper, the 2015 NL MVP, has proven to be one of baseball's most prolific offensive players ever since his MLB debut in 2012. Harper was doing similar work this season with his .327 average, 29 home runs, and .616 slugging.

This post will be updated as more is learned on Harper's condition.
