The former New York Yankees star posted on social media recently and revealed the procedure. He also posted two photos to accompany the message. One showed a bandage covering the area where the surgeon worked. Another photo showed him doing a stretch with his right leg.

"In other news...knee replacement surgery last month was successful, now working to get back on the course," he wrote on X.

The Hall of Fame pitcher started his MLB career with eight years in Cleveland. He then headed to the Yankees in 2009 as a high-priced free agent, but he proved to be worthy of the investment.

He led the team to a World Series win in his first season, and he locked up the American League Championship Series MVP Award in the process. He spent 11 total seasons with New York and earned multiple All-Star honors.

He also took the Yankees to the brink of another World Series appearance in 2017 before ultimately exiting the playoffs at the hands of the Astros.
