Conor McGregor Breaks Silence Following Assault Conviction

McGregor just lost a civil suit for a sexual assault that occurred in his hometown of Ireland. And as one might expect, the former UFC Champion is not happy about it. Following the verdict, McGregor took to social media to lash out.

"Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes! Deplorable what they done. Nikita Hand, vicious liar! APPEAL!," McGregor said noting that his co-defendant, James Lawrence was found not guilty.

In a separate Tweet McGregor also noted that the courts had "Falsely accused a man of rape and lost."

McGregor and Lawrence were tried for the rape of Nikita Ni Lamhain aka Nikita Hand who said that McGregor and Lawrence assaulted her after a Christmas party in 2018.

UFC Star Claims 'Bias' From Media Led to Verdict

In the suit, Hand claimed that McGregor picked her and her sister up after a Christmas Party and took them back to a hotel. While at the hotel, Hand says that the UFC star forced himself on her and shortly after, so did Lawrence.

But McGregor says that everything that he and Lawrence have been accused of has been a lie.

"Twice this heinous accusation was put to you and twice it was shown as FALSE! LIES! It is absolutely disgraceful what they put you through here. Disgraceful! I look forward to seeing you further vindicate yourself and lambast those responsible in court! We know what happened that night!" McGregor said.

"Everyone present knows, yet it was ignored. Every single statement of persons present on the night was ignored. And they all disputed Nikita's LIES!"

The tweet goes on to note that the mainstream media pushed a "bias" agenda which led to the guilty verdict.

"A court of feeling and opinion, brainwashed in to people via the main stream media. Not of fact! The reporting in court a laughing stock to everyone present. As clear as day bias," McGregor added.

"This is not a court of hard evidence and truth. It is a kangaroo court of opinions and feelings. We are not done yet. Not by a long shot. No chance. On we fight! Justice and truth will prevail! Appeal! Appeal! Appeal! As well as other. Congrats James! Onwards and upwards!"
