In the Oval Office, the 45th & 47th President was seen chopping it up with the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion.

McGregor told Trump, "Your work ethic is inspiring."

Upon being introduced by U.S. press secretary Karoline Leavitt, McGregor addressed some political issues his homeland is currently facing.

"We couldn't think of a better guest to have with us on St. Patrick's Day," said Leavitt.

As McGregor took the podium and then sounded off on Ireland's government.

"It's high time America was made aware of what's going on in Ireland," he said in a message directed at 40 million Irish-Americans.

"What is going on in Ireland is a travesty," McGregor said. "Our government is the government of zero action with zero accountability. Our money is being spent on overseas issues that is nothing to do with the Irish people."

He continued, "The illegal immigration racket is running ravaged on the country. There are rural towns in Ireland that have been overrun in one swoop, that have become a minority in one swoop."

"The 40 million Irish Americans need to hear this because if not, there will be no place to come home and visit... There will be no homeland!"

While referring to America as Ireland's big brother, McGregor pleaded, "We need US leadership."

Ultimately, McGregor has had some personal problems of his own, as he is just four months removed from being found liable for sexual assault.

Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin has since condemned the comments made by McGregor on today's holiday.
And Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris echoed that same sentiment, saying McGregor was not representing Ireland in the White House.
"Conor McGregor's remarks are wrong, and do not reflect the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, or the views of the people of Ireland," Martin said.
