Professional MMA fighter Solomon Renfro has been arrested and accused of assaulting a 22-year-old woman inside a Lower Manhattan apartment building.

Renfro, 29, is known in the fighting world by the nickname "The Black Dragon."
According to the New York Post, police responded to a 911 call at an apartment building on Madison Street in Chinatown at approximately 5:55 a.m. Sunday. Officers reportedly found the woman with scratches and bruises on her chest and arms.
Emergency medical personnel treated the woman at the scene. Renfro was taken into custody for questioning and charged approximately two hours later, police said.
The charges include assault, aggravated harassment, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Authorities have not released additional details about what allegedly led to the incident.
Court records show that Renfro was arraigned Sunday in Manhattan Criminal Court. He was reportedly referred to a court-ordered problem-solving program and is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 18.
Renfro is an experienced professional welterweight who has competed for the Professional Fighters League. According to ESPN, he owns an 11-6 career record.
Among his most prominent fights was a 2023 appearance in the PFL welterweight tournament semifinals, where he lost a unanimous decision to eventual champion Magomed Magomedkerimov. Renfro also faced former Bellator lightweight champion Brent Primus in June 2024.
The allegations against Renfro have not been proven in court.
