Conor McGregor Red Carpet Interview Has Fans Concerned

What's up with UFC star Conor McGregor?

That's what fans are asking lately, with McGregor raising some eyebrows after first appearing erratic and sweaty while promoting new action movie Road House alongside noted actor Jake Gyllenhall.

McGregor, 35, first displayed this alleged behavior when attending the movie premiere last weekend in Austin, Texas. There is also a mystery about when he will fight again — which has only created more rumors about his well-being.

Some have gone as far as to suspect substance abuse.

McGregor hasn't fought in nearly thre years, with his last bought being another loss to Dustin Poirier. McGregor has now been defeated twice in a row by Poirier and broke his leg during the last meeting.

Granted, McGregor looked sharp for the Road House event, sporting slim-fitting trousers and a matching patterned jacket. But it was his skin tone and allegedly strange body language that has fans and media talking.

Nor does it help that UFC president Dana White has long been coy about when McGregor will step inside the cage again.

"First problem was he broke that shin bone, and he was recovering from that," White said recently when addressing McGregor's possible next bout. "The other problem is he's f***ing rich. Conor doesn't need money."

So maybe the reason McGregor's next bout is a mystery is McGregor himself.

It could be nothing more than speculation. It could be something, too, fans insist. Either way, you'd think all that chatter would eventually lead to McGregor or White or someone in the know would come forward and address the concerns.

McGregor won his first title in 2015, when he knocked out Jose Aldo in a mere 13 seconds. That landed McGregor the featherweight championship.

He then became the first simultaneous champion in two weight classes when he defeated Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight crown.

McGregor is also widely known for his rivalries with Poirier, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz, as well as for his boxing match with Floyd Meriweather.

The Road House movie is a remake of the 1989 hit that starred the late Patrick Swayze. Gyllenhall is playing the role of the aggressive bouncer who takes care of business when challenged which of course, is often.

The latest version was released on March 8.
