Video: Fans Brawl At UFC 302, With One Combatant Tumbling Down Five Rows

It's the UFC, so that means every guy in the stands believes he belongs in the cage. Throw in some booze, and you have lots of testosterone that's out of control and feeling invincible.

So, yeah, there are lots of heated moments in the stands involving fake tough guys who have very little going for them. But some decide to stop being dreams and start being doers. In other words, they don't want to just watch the fight, they think they should be part of it.

We saw that firsthand at UFC 302 over the weekend in Newark, New Jersey. It featured Islam Makhachev defeating former interim champion Dustin Poirier for the lightweight championship.

It also featured a couple of dudes in the stands arguing, before eventually slugging it out.  And we do mean slugging. One of the guys was even sent tumbling down five rows. Yet as far as we can tell, he never tapped out. Instead, the video shows he received a little help.

Interestingly, everything seemed normal at first. The two guys just argued strongly. The one who argued the strongest clearly said something to set off the other dude — who appeared to be the more willing negotiator as he stood and listened. But suddenly, mayhem ensued.

The sitting combatant stood, stumbled, and was shoved, setting up his massive tumble. Then the guy who was calm at first began wailing away. Most everyone else just recorded on their phones (thankfully for websites everywhere). But a few others jumped in, trying to break it up — seemingly to no avail. But what were they thinking? This is the UFC, mixed with alcohol, and it's the way things are supposed to go.
