14 years ago today started one of the most fun web-slinging adventures ever

Good times.

May 3, 2002 was the day everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man swung into theaters and stole our hearts. It was the first great Marvel movie —- although it was under the Sony Pictures name —- that got the comic book company thinking about making its own movie studio. Fortunately, they did and that gave us the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe that will now bring Spider-Man back into the fold!

This video features some of the best scenes from all of the Tobey Maguire-inspired Spider-Man movies. There was James Franco as Peter Parker's best friend, Harry. There was Willem Dafoe as the supervillain Green Goblin and J.K. Simmons as Spidey-bashing Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson.

We ended up with three Spider-Man movies and a two-movie reboot that featured Andrew Garfield as the web slinger. Now we'll have a third Spider-Man who is suppose to be featured in the new Captain America: Civil War movie and he is set to be played by Tom Holland.
