Charges could be filed after new evidence discovered, but it might not be against O.J. Simpson

Even more developments on the more than 20-year-old case.

More than 20 years ago, O.J. Simpson was acquitted in the murder investigation of his ex-wife and a friend, Ronald Goldman. Friday morning, news broke that a knife was discovered some time ago buried at Simpson's former property.

LAPD held a press conference in the afternoon, acknowledging Simpson can not be prosecuted on the same charges, but did drop a bit of a shocker. The officer that allegedly had the knife can not be punished administratively since he is retired, but the police department could seek charges against him since the case is considered open.
