Colin Cowherd's reason for not building a franchise around the Cowboys rookie has nothing to do with football

Colin Cowherd is going against the grain (again) by not jumping on the Dak Prescott bandwagon. Prescott, who set many records at Mississippi State, had a good preseason debut for the Cowboys last weekend.

But Cowherd doesn't understand why the rookie quarterback is getting all the love, and instead tossed him under the bus.

"A lot of guys can do an interesting segment or two on radio. Try going for three hours in August. Nice series or two, Dak Prescott. I'm not building my franchise around a guy that got a DUI before the combine and last year got beaten over the head with a beer bottle at a party."

His two supporting 'facts' don't lend a lot of support in arguing Prescott is some sort of immature troublemaker.

Prescott was found not guilty for the DUI (his two breathalyzer tests were inconclusive).  The beer bottle incident the Fox host refers to came when Prescott and two teammates were attacked by a large group of men while on Spring Break.

By Cowherd's logic, being assaulted by strangers while walking down the street means you can't be an NFL quarterback?

Hey Colin, whatever you have to do to fill three hours of radio in August...
