ESPN's loudest mouth proclaims himself king, rips an SEC icon

This makes us think Skip Bayless will be sorely missed.

With ESPN's First Take mainstay Skip Bayless set to take his "talents" to Fox Sports in a few short weeks, co-host Stephen A. Smith will likely be left to fill the void with another, lesser-known talent to fill the "hot seat" of sports talks most controversial show.

That looming taste of mediocrity didn't get to Smith though, and made a bold proclamation in the most Stephen A.-way possible.

With Smith running the show and calling the shots, there are a few topics he won't touch, which much to his chagrin, have been a prominent part of the show.

As annoying as the two are together, the show may get a little more if it's just Smith calling the shots. Twitter weighed in to give possible (and hilarious) scenarios of what First Take could look like without Bayless.

Apparently it's not as bad as having Shannon Sharpe as a co-host.
