Noel Darleen Neill, a character actress best known for her portrayal of Lois Lane in 1948's "Superman" and the TV series, "The Adventures of Superman," passed away this week at age 95.

According to the New York Daily News, Neill's official biographer, Larry Ward confirmed her death.
"Noel truly was Lois Lane, and for many of us, she was the first working woman seen on television," Ward wrote.
