The show debuted in 2000 and had an impressive 17-year run as ESPN's flagship morning radio program, while also airing on ESPN2 (2006-17) and ESPNews (2004-05) in later years.
Several industry members congratulated the duo on their long run and reflected on the show's success.
@MikeAndMike congratulations Mike... and Mike. You guys were an amazing team. Right now though, I am only speaking to Mike. You were the most important part of the show. Haha

Earlier this week, ESPN made the official announcement that Mike & Mike will be replaced by Golic & Wingo, starring Golic, his son Mike Jr. and Trey Wingo, beginning on Monday, November 27. The new program will occupy the familiar 6:00 am to 10:00 am ET time slot on ESPN Radio.
Greenberg will move to a morning show, debuting January 1, 2018. He is rumored to be joined by former ESPN Sportsnation and current FOX Sports host Charissa Thompson, according to Sporting News' Michael McCarthy.
"ESPN is targeting Charissa Thompson of Fox Sports to join Mike Greenberg on his new morning show, sources tell Sporting News," McCarthy reported. "Thompson is described as a top ESPN target to join Greenberg on his New York-based morning show that launches Jan. 1, 2018."
In April, Sporting News was reporting that ESPN was targeting Sage Steele for the spot, but obviously things have changed.
Congratulations to Mike & Mike on an outstanding 17-year run.
