MMA fighter Dave Herman arrested and tasered; wife gets it all on video

MMA fighter Dave Herman was arrested and tasered Monday in Dekalb County, Indiana after authorities say he was speeding without his lights on. Herman's wife, who was in the car along with the couple's infant son, recorded the entire incident (video above) so you can see it unfold and hear commentary.

According to several reports, police tried to pull over Herman, but he continued driving for a couple of miles before stopping at a gas station. His wife, in the video, says he was looking for a well-lit place to stop.

MMAJunkie obtained a copy of the DeKalb County sheriff's department report, which says, in part:

"David exited his vehicle and approached Officers in an aggressive manner. David was given multiple warnings to get on the ground and failed to comply. David had to be tased in order to be taken into custody. An infant and adult female were also present in the vehicle."

Bleacher report, quoting a police report, says Herman faces charges that include resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, battery against law enforcement and neglect of a dependant, all felonies, and a resisting law enforcement misdemeanor. He remains in jail on Wednesday.

The 30-year old is 22-6 in his fighting career with his first win coming in his UFC debut in 2011.
