One of the top coaches in the country is in hot water following domestic violence allegations

Unreal.

Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas is one of the best football programs in the country, but it seems it's going to be in some hot water for a bit. Head coach Kenny Sanchez has been arrested on domestic battery charges.

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

The charge stems from an incident on Christmas Day at the home of his former girlfriend, Brooke Jade Stewart. The two have a child, and Sanchez went to the woman's residence in the southeast valley that day to pick up their son under their custody agreement.

A Las Vegas police report states that Sanchez was "very upset for picking up son."

"I went to say goodbye to my son in the driveway," the woman wrote in a voluntary statement. "Kenny came behind me and pulled my hair out of my head, punched me in the eye. As I was going down, he punched me on the side of my face and put his hands around my neck. He held me on the ground and ran to his car and drove away."

Sanchez has been the coach the past two seasons and has led the team to a 30-0 record and helped Tate Martell land at Ohio State. Sanchez was also the defensive coordinator from 2009 to 2014 and the school has gone 115-5 since he joined the staff. The school has won two state and national titles in that time.

Sanchez's court date is set for May 30. The 36-year old was arrested on Tuesday for the event that reportedly took place on Christmas Day.
