The cops had to be called when a dinner experience turned too sexual for one couple

Dinner wasn’t too appetizing for the couple.

A dinner at a Tennessee hibachi restaurant took a turn for the worse when the chef was doing his cooking routine and pulled out a plastic toy that made one couple uncomfortable.

James Lassiter said the toy functions by pulling its pants down to shoot water. Lassiter said the chef used it on his wife, Isabelle, during the routine in front of their young grandchildren.

Lassiter told WFTX it was a "sexual-style assault on his wife."

The Lassiters were so disturbed, they called the police, claiming the toy's penis simulated a urination.

"I observed the toy to have no penis and just a hole for the water to shoot out," the responding officer said.

"People are missing the point. This was a sexually-oriented toy meant for adults, in front of minor children. We're not trying to make money off of this. If the toy was in a bar, it'd be a different situation, but this was in a family restaurant with 13 to 14 year olds at the table. If people think it's so funny, why don't people go buy that toy and squirt a cop in the face with it and see what happens," Lassiter said.

The restaurant admits the toy was used as part of its hibachi cooking routine, which it says is usually a hit with kids. No charges have been filed in the case. You can read the incident report here.
