The newest trailer for "Independence Day: Resurgence", the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 thriller featuring Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum. Goldblum makes his return in the sequel as scientist David Levinson. He's joined by Liam Hemsworth —- the non-Thor one —- and Bill Pullman, or President Whitemore as you may remember him.
There's going to be a whole lot more destruction and mayhem in this movie than there was in the original and that can only mean more awesome aerial dogfights. There's alien ass to kick and someone's gotta do it. It might as well be Jake Morrison —- Hemsworth's character —- and the son of Captain Steve Hiller (Jessie Usher as Dylan Hiller) taking down the aliens and saving earth once again. The new trailer gives us a better look at the new alien technology and how far us puny humans have come since the last invasion.
