Apparently the cycling world has introduced some new technology called "disc brakes" that are causing quite the stir, but for all the wrong reasons.

During the Paris-Roubai, several crashes took place but that's not the real story as crashes happen quite often in cycling.

The story is what those disc brakes did to one of the cyclists unfortunate enough to have crashed. He hadn't been using the tech, but was following a cyclist who was and when he fell into him, this is what happened to his knee:

That makes JPP getting his finger blown off look tame.
