Fans have been wondering how long it would take for Warner Bros. to release a Wonder Woman trailer after the Batman vs. Superman movie tanked so badly. Wonder Woman was one of the few bright spots of that movie and is obviously needed (DC Comics fans know this well) to create the Justice League movie.

Before we can get the Justice League we need Wonder Woman's solo movie and it looks to take place during WWI. Chris Pine —- fresh off his Star Trek Beyond appearance —- will play love interest and U.S. military intelligence officer Steve Trevor. In the comics he usually plays the damsel in distress and it looks like that will be the case yet again in the movie.

The trailer gives us a little bit of Princess Diana's origin story and introduces a couple of mysterious villains. Don't even bother going to IMDB though because they are not listed there and someone is keeping that well under wraps. We're also being promised an epic showdown between Diana and some thugs that is sure to resemble the awesome beatdown Batman handed out in BvS.
