You won't guess who else talked to Rousey after her Holm loss

That's some high profile help right there.

Ronda Rousey has gotten a lot of consolation and some of that came from a world champ boxer in Mike Tyson, but it seems he wasn't the only one in her ear after the Holly Holm loss. Los Angeles Laker guard and five-time NBA champ Kobe Bryant got in touch with Rousey after her K.O. He talked to the media about in Toronto during All-Star Weekend.

"I sent her several messages, so yes, we have touched base," Bryant said. "That's what it's about. It's not about how you win. A true champion is about how you lose and come back from that.

"I told her, 'It's a beautiful thing.' That's what I told her. I said, 'To be a true champion sometimes you have to get knocked down.' It happens to the best of us. It happened with my Achilles (when I tore it), (Muhammad) Ali got put down several times - it happens to the best of us."

He knows a thing or about defeat as that's all the Lakers seem to know this season, but has also lost on the biggest stage in the NBA Finals in 2004 and 2008. So he certainly knows something about losing and it sounds like he passed on some important knowledge to Rousey.

The UFC has announced Rousey will take on the winner of Holm's fight against top contender Miesha Tate on March 5 at UFC 196.
