Dirk Nowitzki will stay a Dallas Maverick until he decides to retire in the next few years. After threatening to sign elsewhere because the Mavericks stiffed him on his last contract, the team has come up with a much more player-friendly one that should make Nowitzki happy.

This past year in his age 37 season, Dirk averaged 20.9 points, two assists, 0.8 blocks and 7.4 rebounds per game. Over his 18-year career he has averaged 22.5 points and eight rebounds while shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc and 47.4 percent overall from the floor.
