Quote-tweeting Luke Kornet, Horford wrote, "Well said Luke."
That was it. Short. Direct. Loud enough.
Kornet, now with the San Antonio Spurs, had publicly called on the Hawks to cancel the promotion, arguing the NBA should "protect and esteem women" and avoid aligning itself with what he described as potential objectification. His comments sparked a wave of reactions around the league.
Now Horford, a nine-year Atlanta veteran and one of the most respected leaders of his generation, has backed him.

That matters.
Horford began his career with the Hawks and remains tied to the franchise's most successful modern run. He is not some fringe voice tossing out an opinion. When he speaks, people listen.
The Hawks have framed the event as a celebration of a local cultural institution. They have not publicly responded to Kornet's criticism. But the support behind Kornet appears to be building.
Two former Boston Celtics teammates. One shared message.
And suddenly, this is not just a one-player protest.
