Bronny James Gets Into Heated Back & Forth With Fan on Lakers Bench With Luka Doncic Sitting Next to Him

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James with the 55th pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. James already came into the league with heavy criticism because he is the son of NBA great LeBron James. But the fact that he has had a lackluster season, spending most of his season on the bench has given critics even more ammo.

During the Lakers matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this week, Bronny got into a back in forth with a fan in the crowd, after hitting his first career NBA three-pointer. James and the fan went back and forth for a good while, but it all appeared to be in good nature as the Lakers newest player Luka Doncic was all smiles during the conversation.

Austin Reaves Reacts to Anthony Davis Trade

Ahead of the NBA trade deadline on February 6, the Los Angeles Lakers made a major shakeup that almost nobody saw coming. They shipped their All-Star big man Anthony Davis, who helped lead them to a championship in 2020, o Dallas in exchange for Luka Doncic.

The Lakers were fifth in the Western Conference at the time of the trade. So the decision to trade Davis, a top candidate for this season's Defensive Player of the Year award, was puzzling to say the least. But with Doncic being arguably a top-3 player in the NBA at just 25-years-old, it was an offer that the Lakers simply could not turn down as it was a win-now move and one that would be benefiicial far into the future.

However, Lakers sharpshooter Austin Reaves says that losing a teammate like Davis is still a tough pill to swallow.

"I asked [LeBron James] earlier, I was like, 'You've been in the league a million years, you've had a billion teammates, you've seen people come and go. How do you deal with that?'" Reaves said Tuesday.

"The last coupleof  days have been tough for me. I feel like I had just like an empty pit in my stomach just because for the last four years with [Davis], three years with Max [Christie], couple years with [Jalen Hood-Schifino], like I said, you create real relationships and bonds and then out of nowhere they're on a different team competing to do what they want to do."
