The Los Angeles Lakers were leading the Chicago Bulls 115-110 with 12 seconds left in Thursday night's matchup, yet somehow a miraculous comeback ensued toward the very end as Josh Giddey made an impossible game-winning Hail Mary heave at the buzzer.

In view of how the final moments of the game unfolded, Bulls' Patrick Williams hit a corner three to cut the deficit to two points. And then the unthinkable happened, as Giddey stole LeBron James' inbound pass and assisted Coby White's three-pointer to give the Bulls the lead (116-115) with five seconds on the clock.

That is, Lakers' Austin Reaves answered with a go-ahead driving layup with three seconds left. Then just when everyone in the United Center was about to accept defeat, Giddey sunk a half-court buzzer beater to seal the Bulls' 119-117 come-from-behind victory.
Notably, this was the ninth-farthest game-winning buzzer beater in NBA history.
To point out, it was all around a heroic night for Giddey, who notched yet another triple-double in the same week vs. the Lakers (3/22): 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.
The 22-year-old Aussie is now averaging 14.3 points (46.9% FG; 38.4% 3PT), 7.8 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game in his fourth NBA season.
Josh Giddey had a steal, assist and 47-foot game-winner in the final 7.8 seconds.
Oh, and his second triple double in 6 days against the Lakers.
The 7 TOs can be forgiven apparently

Following this heartbreak finish, LeBron spoke to reporters, "We put ourselves in position to win... horrible turnover by myself... Tip your hat when someone makes a game-winner from half court."

LeBron, who just made a game-winning buzzer-beater tip-in himself during the Lakers' previous matchup vs. the Pacers, ultimately accepted responsibility for this recent loss in Chicago after fans on social media aired out their frustrations.
Lebron lost us the game plain and simple. Terrible inbound pass that put us down one. You don’t stop the ball and let giddey shoot a perfectly convenient shot down the middle of the court with his momentum. You gave him the best possible shot there dude. What a meltdown.
