Carmelo Anthony is already annoying his head coach to no end, and it's just Year 1

New York Knicks head coach frustrated with team's slumping ways

It seems Carmelo Anthony has quickly gotten under the skin of New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek.

The first-year head coach couldn't even stand to watch as the star forward motioned for his teammates to clear out while he once again called his own number during the Knicks 115-103 loss to the Orlando Magic Monday, the team's fifth straight.

Anthony ended up launching a jumper over Aaron Gordon, and missed. But as he paced the floor, Hornacek turned his back in apparent frustration before Anthony even took the shot, seemingly expecting the ill-advised attempt to rattle off the rim.

After the game, Hornacek expressed his disappointment with the Knicks' struggles.

"I think they're trying. We might not be good defensively," Hornacek said. "We might have to start figuring out ways to trap and do some gimmicky defenses. "Maybe we're just not capable. I don't know. That's what we're going to have to figure out. We might have to play some of these other guys."

New York fell to 16-18 after the loss.
