Trade rumors emerge on another “super team” aiming to form with the potential addition of Carmelo Anthony

Another day, another 'Melo rumor.

Add the Oklahoma City Thunder to the list of teams in the running for New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.

There is reportedly some mutual interest between Anthony and the Thunder, HBO's Bill Simmons tweeted on Monday.

Simmons noted that Oklahoma City executive Troy Weaver recruited Anthony to Syracuse and has developed a relationship with him dating back to his days in Baltimore.

Anthony's name has been linked to both the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers in recent weeks. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony is willing to waive his no-trade clause if a deal is reached between the Knicks and either team.

However, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reported that Anthony is solely focused on joining the Rockets, shortly after news broke of Kyrie Irving reportedly requesting a trade away from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Oklahoma City has worked diligently this offseason to surround reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook with elite talent, which included trading with the Indiana Pacers for Paul George.
