Cleveland Cavaliers star player Donovan Mitchell has a new hobby outside of being an NBA player, as he evidently has been playing a lot of video games online recently.

In particular, Mitchell says his game of choice is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
This was revealed during Cavs media availability, as Mitchell told reporters why his voice was 'raspy' (per @RealDCunningham).
"I've been playing Call of Duty with these kids and screaming at them and stuff. So that's where the voice goes... I genuinely try to get better, which makes me even more upset. I watch film on my phone on TikTok and I'm still terrible."
Unlike his skills on the basketball court, the five-time All-Star claims he is a little bit inconsistent when it comes to online warfare.
Mitchell was asked to sum up his skills at Call of Duty:
"It depends on the day. Some days I'm a Navy SEAL, some days I'm a regular citizen that probably got thrown into war and gets freaked out." https://t.co/2MlbS1U92O

"It's been rough. I genuinely try to get better, which makes me even more upset. I'm still terrible. I reached out to Call of Duty, like, 'Hey, put me in the trash lobbies, that's where I belong.' We'll see what happens."
Donovan continued, "I feel like when Call of Duty [sees] me play well [they're] like, 'alright, the guys who play this for a living, go play with Donovan'... I don't think that's fair... these guys are jumping and sliding and moving back and forth... I can't really do all that... it's tough."
This isn't the first time that it was revealed Mitchell was a gamer, as Kyrie Irving told reporters back during the 2022-23 season, they were playing online together before each of their games.
"I was on Call of Duty a little bit before the game with Don, he was 'locked-in' I could tell, Kyrie said (1/2/23)."
For those wondering Mitchell's stat line for that night, he had arguably the best game of his career vs. the Chicago Bulls: 71 points (22-for-34), 11 assists, and 8 rebounds.
All in all, Donovan may have to put down the sticks for a little while once again on Friday night, as the NBA's best-record Cavs (23-4) are hosting the NBA Cup champion, Milwaukee Bucks, in Cleveland at 7:30 pm ET.
