Celtics' Teammates Rajon Rondo And Ray Allen Boxed In Weight Room

Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo both played on the Boston Celtics from 2007-2012, and throughout their time together, apparently they didn't always get along. How do NBA teammates settle arguments with each other?... They have full on boxing matches, and it might be an effective way to keep team chemistry in tact, as the Celtics went on to win the championship in 2008.

Rondo was on the show 'Run It Back' on FanDuel Tv, when he told a story of how the Celtics used to fight in the weight room using real boxing gloves.

Rondo said, "There was no point in talking about each other behind each others back, let's just fight as men."

Evidently, there were some riffs in the locker room and the Celtics' strength & conditioning coach, who was Bryan Doo at the time, thought it would be a good idea to bring some boxing gloves in, so the players could settle their beef with each other the old fashion way.

"We were competitive at every facet of life," Rondo stated. "We always competed. And at that particular time, TA (Tony Allen) and Big Baby (Glen Davis) put the gloves on. Big baby set him down quickly... Then me and Ray put the gloves on."

The rest of the hosts on the podcast asked Rondo, "Who won y'all round?"

Rondo responded, "I gotta let my peers tell you that. I don't want to talk about it."

Although we don't have the details on the results of the fight yet, time will tell until one of the players on that championship team will come out and give the outcome. Nevertheless, throughout his 10-year career, Rondo certainly has given us plenty of in-game fight footage, so we have a preview of what it would've looked like.
