"Thoughts and prayers with Kawhi and his family, and thoughts & prayers with everyone that is affected by this travesty."

Ever since Tuesday, those living in the greater Los Angeles area have been affected by huge wildfires (Palisades fire, Eaton fire and Hurst fire).

At this time, 1,000 homes and businesses have been burned down, and two citizens have been reported dead (per LA Times).

This is devastating news, especially for Kawhi, who purchased a Pacific Palisades mansion for $17.1 million back in 2021. Considering this is an area that has been heavily affected by the wildfires, it is unknown the status of his or his family's homes.

While it is also unclear how long the two-time champ will be away, he will for sure miss Wednesday night's game vs. the Denver Nuggets.

To point out, Kawhi had just played in his first game of the season on January 4 vs. the Atlanta Hawks (12 points in 19 minutes), after being out for the first 34 games, due to right knee inflammation.

In addition, he also played in Monday's loss vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves (8 points in 21 minutes).
