Back on January 18, the Washington Wizards faced-off with the Golden State Warriors, which means Jordan Poole found himself playing against his former teammates.

Following the 122-114 loss to the Warriors, Poole seemingly hinted at his previous bad blood with Draymond Green, as he corrected himself after saying, "I love those guys over there."
Poole went on to say, "I love MOST of those guys over there."

In response to this statement, Green took to X and said "I really am sorry," which is in reference to when he punched Poole at a practice during the 2022-2023 season.

Now on the latest episode of the Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, the 4-time champion talked about the situation.
"I responded because it's been three years, let's move on. We supposed to move on man," Green said. "I really am sorry. That statement [by Poole] was kinda like it was looking for some sympathy, making me out to be the bad guy."
He continued, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have punched him, but it happened."

Ultimately, Draymond took responsibility for his actions, but also noted that he was provoked.
"You can't call a man a 'B' word and push him and not get hit either."
In view of last Saturday's matchup, Poole dropped a season-high 38 points (12-of-25 FG; 8-of-15 3PT), while Green only played three minutes before suffering a calf strain.

Notably, this wasn't Green and Poole's only matchup this season, as they also went toe-to-toe during a game at the beginning of the season.
