A six-year NBA veteran, George has emerged into one of the NBA's elite players despite breaking his leg in a freak accident during his run with Team USA in 2014.
He's averaging over 20 points per game with six rebounds and three assists. George has one year left on his deal before having a player option in 2018-19.
When asked about inking an extension in Indiana, George noted all that he wants to play for a winning program.
Boston could conceivably pair George with Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford to form a revitalized Boston Big 3.
Indiana could conceivably bring back some pairing of Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder and the highly-coveted Brooklyn Nets picks in a return.
Boston has been linked to George in the past, per Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. The Celtics have also been linked to Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler and Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin.
We'll continue to track all movement right up until the NBA trade deadline.
