Fans Rage Over Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 'Sports Bra'

The Thunders will face off against the Houston Rockets for the right to face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks in the championship game. Ahead of Saturday's game, Thunder star Shai Gilgeous Alexander was spotted warming up in a never-before-seen accessory, which was deemed to be a sports bra by fans on social media.

"Shai wearing a sports bra. And somehow Tatum gets the most hate," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I usually like his style but this is overkill.. idc idc you can't make a sports bra look cool," another fan added.

Media Pundit Declares OKC Star MVP Frontrunner

The Thunder have been among the best teams in the Western Conference this season. They are 19-5 a sit atop of a loaded NBA Western Conference. Even more impressive is that they have done so without the services of their star big man Chet Holmgren.

Shai has been the catalyst of the Thunder's early success. This season he is averaging 30.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. It is one of the reasons that Ivan White of Sports Illustrated believes he is the frontrunner for this year's MVP award.

"After finishing runner-up for MVP last season and leading the Thunder to 57 wins, Gilgeous-Alexander entered this season as one of the favorites to win MVP on the clear favorite in the West. While the Thunder's star has been spectacular this season, he hasn't quite made it to the top of the MVP discussion," White writes.

"He sits at second on Basketball Reference's MVP tracker and third in NBA.com's latest MVP ladder. Although three-time winner Nikola Jokic has been in the lead for the entire season, Gilgeous-Alexander can make up some ground at the very least. Still, Gilgeous-Alexander is in a good spot, averaging 30.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.8 steals."
