The 27-year-old superstar will now begin a long road to recovery. Other notable players to suffer this injury diagnosis include former Warriors players Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.
To note, Durant tore his Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals (June 10), and then returned on December 22, 2020. Then November 2020, Klay Thompson tore his Achilles and came back on January 8th, 2022.

Down 3-1 in the series, the defending champion Celtics will attempt to make a comeback without their best player. Game 5 will take place at TD Garden on Wednesday May 14 (7:00 pm ET).
Wishing a speedy and full recovery to a brilliant player and really kind person @jaytatum0.
