Billups was arrested Thursday morning as part of a massive FBI investigation into an illegal poker operation reportedly linked to multiple Mafia crime families.

Authorities said the games targeted high-rolling "fish" who were invited to play against former athletes like Billups — only to get hustled in rigged, high-stakes matchups featuring marked cards, X-ray tables, and other tricks.

The twist? This comes less than three months after Gilbert Arenas was arrested in California on similar charges. Arenas is accused of renting out his Encino mansion for high-stakes games hosted by an alleged organized crime figure named Yevgeni Gershman.

Prosecutors say Gershman and his crew paid Arenas rent and took a "rake" — a house cut — from the gambling pots, which is illegal.

That overlap has social media buzzing with theories, as relayed by Larry Brown Sports. Many fans believe Arenas may have cooperated with authorities to avoid more jail time.

The former All-Star even joked on a live stream after his July arrest that he'd "snitch" if it kept him out of prison.

So far, the FBI hasn't linked the two cases, noting Billups' alleged games were held in places like Las Vegas, Miami, and Manhattan — not California.

But in the court of public opinion, the dots are already being connected, and the story's only getting bigger.
