Fans React to Celtics Blowing Out Knicks
After one quarter, the Celtics led the Knicks 43-24. They jumped all over New York right from the opening tip knocking down 10 threes and shooting 59% from the field over a Knicks squad that many expect to make a deep playoff run in 2025. After the Celtics first quarter onslaught, fans went crazy with reactions on social media.
"Celtics are putting BTA to the Knicks 52 to 30 with 8mins left in the 2nd quarter is crazy asf," one fan said on X. formerly known as Twitter.
"Celtics don't do shit but play lockdown defense and shoot a million 3s im sick of they ass," another fan added.
Karl Anthony Towns Gets Candid on Minnesota Departure
The Knicks fell short of an Eastern Conference Finals berth after being defeated by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. But after overachieving last season, they upped the ante even more this summer. It started with prying Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets and then they made the monster trade to land All-Star big man Karl Anthony Towns from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves trade was a shock to everyone, including Towns, who thought he would end his career in Minnesota.
"I thought I was gonna retire there," Towns said. "I thought it was gonna be the place I called home for my whole career and then after, but my former employer did not agree with that ideology I had. It is what it is. I'm here now, with my two guys here, and hoping that we can do something special for the city."
With the Knicks already having an MVP-caliber player in Jalen Brunson, many feel like this is the year that they can finally get over the hump, it will be interesting to see if they can get it done.
