Former NBA center Oliver Miller, known as 'Big O,' has passed away at 54 years old following a battle with cancer.

This was first announced by 2x former NBA All-Star, Eddie Johnson, who posted a message on X.
"I am so sad to report we have lost another @NBA Fraternity member! Nine year veteran Oliver Miller has passed away at age 54! Going to miss you Big O... RIP."
In view of why Miller was given the nickname 'Big O,' is because at 6-foot-9, he actually became the heaviest player in NBA history.
During the 1992 NBA Draft, Miller was selected with the No. 22 overall pick out of Arkansas, by the Phoenix Suns.
That is, throughout his nine-year career, 'Big O' also played for the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Miller appeared in 493 games, putting up 7.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, while playing 23 minutes per game.
The Fort Worth, Texas native accumulated 3,625 points, 2,893 rebounds and 758 blocks throughout his NBA career.
