"I Have No Idea": LeBron James on Possible Team Up with Storied Rival Stephen Curry

LeBron James got really sentimental when asked about a storied rival following the Lakers' Monday practice.

The Lakers superstar spoke about Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry ahead of their scheduled preseason matchups this week. James described it as "everything I dreamed of" while reminiscing about his team up with Curry during the Paris Olympics.

James and Curry were among the headliners on a star-studded Team USA that dominated in this summer's games, going a perfect 6-0 and earning its fifth straight gold medal.

The Lakers' legend averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game to become the oldest MVP of the competition.

The Golden State Warriors star struggled early but came back - draining 17 3-pointers in the final two games to finish as Team USA's leading scorer.

The chemistry between Curry and James inevitably led to media discussion about a possible team up in the NBA. When asked about the likelihood of the two of them on an NBA squad together, James responded, "I have no idea."

Curry had some kind words of his own when speaking about James during his appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" last week. The Warriors star claimed it was James who helped him get out of his shooting slump during the Paris games:

"I actually remember after we played Puerto Rico in the pool-play round, I was doing an interview with one of the guys from the Bay Area and as he's talking, he asked me the same question 'What's wrong with your shot? Are you worried about it?' Yada yada. And positive self-talk came out. I was like 'No, we're winning. I know it's going to come. I know a flurry is going to come.

"And then as soon as I said it, LeBron walks right behind me and is like 'Damn right it is' with his little baritone voice. And I'm like 'Yeah, yeah, yeah. At first it caught me off guard because I still had to get used to liking that guy because of all our battles. And now we're teammates and friends and it was definitely a confident boost. And at the end of the day, it came at the right time."
