Former lottery pick officially headed elsewhere after four years in Boston

His pairing next to Hassan Whiteside should provide one of the better frontcourt duos in the league.

Kelly Olynyk was a restricted free agent before the Boston Celtics landed Gordon Hayward. After the Celtics released him to explore his options, the 2013 No. 13 overall pick has officially landed with the Miami Heat:

Olynyk's deal includes a fourth-year player option, per Wojnarowski.

He averaged nine points and nearly five rebounds per game. Olynyk's shining moment of his Celtics tenure came in last season's Game 7 against the Washington Wizards, when Olynyk dropped 26 points, four rebounds and four assists.

He was the lightening rod for controversy in the 2015-16 playoffs when his play injured Kevin Love and knocked him out of the Cleveland Cavaliers postseason run.
